Every child is an artist, and so is every adult! Below is the class listing for adults, taught by our practicing artists and  creative instructors.

You can also stop in the Gallery during regular business hours. All materials included in registration fee unless priced separately in the description. Art can be messy, so dress casually, please!

Harmony Ink

Harmony Ink is a monthly workshop for adults interested in creative writing. We will explore the creative process together in a relaxed evening, using various prompts for inspiration including art and photography. We will share our work with time for critique and conversation. Guest speakers may present their work for encouragement.
Harmony Ink meets September-December and March-June on the second Thursday evening of each month from 7-8:30pm. The club is free but a donation is encouraged to fund guest speakers and support the group. Please bring a journal and pen. We will have opportunities to present our writings for an audience as the year progresses.
Instructor: Debbie Smith Wagner. Debbie Smith Wagner has been teaching the arts for 30 years. She is a graduate from The University of Cincinnati and Cleveland State. She is also a Creativity and Wellness teacher and coach with a certification in Holistic Health from Integrated Nutrition in New York City. Debbie has lived and taught throughout the country; in PA, she taught at Beaver County Christian School’s art department and directed many musicals and plays.

Dates and Times:
Meets the second Thursday of each month,   September-December and March-June from 7:00-8:30pm. We may visit The Harmony Inn for social time after our meeting.

November 13:Rhonda Paglia is a children’s author, a retired elementary teacher from Hermitage, PA. Rhonda is the author of 5 children’s books. Her fifth and newest release is nonfiction and titled “Duke & Matt, Rescue Road Warriors.” Duke, a red beagle, was adopted by Matt in 2009. Now Duke and Matt, along with about 900 other Rescue Road Warriors, help transport puppy mill dogs, breeder releases, and dogs headed for euthanasia to safe shelters and adoptive families. Duke and Matt’s story is not only important for kids, but also for adults and families who may have a pet, or who may be thinking about getting a pet. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book benefits the Rescue Road Warriors and their work. Available in both soft cover and for Kindle.

“Time for Me: A Women’s Creative Circle”

Meeting the last Thursday of each month, 7-9pm unless otherwise noted.                                  Facilitator and Leader: MJ McCurdy

$25 includes all materials!

As women, we all seem to make time for everyone else in our lives– but when is OUR time? Time For Me is a way to set aside time for ourselves, to meet new friends and express our inner creativity. At each class we will explore various creative forms, learning a different technique each time, then use that technique to express our inner selves. You do not have to be artistically gifted to join us!

This is an on-going class that usually meets the last Thursday of the month, with exceptions listed below due to holidays. You are free to attend one class, two classes, or every class if you would like. Each class you attend is $20 and includes all materials needed for the evening. Bring beverages for yourself and snacks for others, if you would like to share.

Women from 13 to 100 are welcome! Private group classes available too– email us for information.

Class Dates: Sept 25, Oct 30, Nov 20, Dec– no class due to holiday.

Songwriters In Harmony: A Monthly Songwriters Workshop

Our monthly songwriters’ circle meets the third Thursday of every month from 7-9pm. Hosted by Bruce Hoffman, this group is an extension of the Calliope Pittsburgh Songwriters’ Circle. Bring your instrument and your songs to share with the group. Acoustic musicians of all genres welcome. No admission fee. Water and tea available at no charge; other beverages are BYOB.
