The Bottlebrush offers art classes for adults. You can take private classes, small group classes or have your own private art party with friends. Our classes are taught by practicing artists and creative instructors. Art can be messy, so dress casually for class, please.

Alcohol Inks on Tile for Beginners
 
No experience needed! We’ll create colorful designs on ceramic tiles using alcohol inks.
 
MJ McCurdy will teach you step-by-step how to apply colorful inks on ceramic tiles.  Mistakes are easily fixed with rubbing alcohol.  Price includes all supplies (ceramic tiles, alcohol ink, varnish spray, gloves and painting tools).  Dress for mess! Payment required in advance. No refunds if you cancel within 48 hours of class start time.
 
Please note: if COVID case numbers increase in the area, we may require all attendees to wear masks and maintain social distancing due to the pandemic.
 
Classes are available daytime or evening.

Our Women’s Creative Circle is back!

As women, we all seem to make time for everyone else in our lives– but when is OUR time? Time For Me is a way to set aside time for ourselves, to meet new friends and express our inner creativity. At each class, we explore various creative forms, learning a different technique each time then using that technique to express ourselves. You do not have to be artistically gifted to join us.  Yes, YOU can make art. Don’t let that voice in your head (or that art teacher from your school days) tell you any different.

Time for Me meets the third Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. You can attend one class, two classes, or every class if you would like. Each class is $30 and includes all materials needed for the evening. Feel free to bring refreshments.

 Intro to Art Journaling

Looking for a fun and easy way to practice your art and learn new techniques?   How about keeping an art journal? 

What is an art journal? It can be what you want it to be. A place to express your feelings, a place to try out new art techniques and media, a way to chronicle what’s happening in these unprecedented times. More art than words, although words are good too!

What’s really cool about this is that you will learn new art-making techniques while creating a book of your work. How to make backgrounds for your page with watercolors and acrylics, collage, and even palette knife painting… all in your own journal.

Art journals provided!  $20 per person, per class. I will bring art materials you can use, if they’re needed. Call the Gallery at 724.452.0539 or email bottlebrushgallery @ yahoo.com to register. Everyone must sign up in advance.
