Buy Art & Support a Charity!

The Bottlebrush Gallery & Center for the Arts is proud to partner with Pittsburgh radio and television personality Doug Oster in a fundraising initiative for Hair Peace Charities, a southwestern Pennsylvania organization supporting women and girls experiencing hair loss as a result of their cancer treatment.

While you may know Doug as Pittsburgh’s own “gardening guy”, he’s also an accomplished photographer. Doug’s beautiful and well-composed photographs caught our eye, and as the winding path of life goes, we’re hosting Doug’s work in the Gallery to support a charity of his choice.

“On the Lake at Sunset” is the first in a series of matted, framed 11”x14” photographs currently on display and available for purchase at the Gallery. Priced at $150, a portion of each sale will be donated to Hair Peace Charities.

About Hair Peace Charities: Hair Peace Charities helps women and girls in Southwestern Pennsylvania who have lost their hair due to treatment for cancer to purchase a wig. This in turn helps them regain their sense of identity, control, and self-esteem. As a faith-based organization, HPC also seeks to provide for the spiritual and emotional needs of its clients and their families. About Doug Oster: Doug is an Emmy-winning producer, television host and author of 5 books, with the most recent being “The Steel City Garden: Creating a One-of-a-Kind Garden in Black and Gold.” He is the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s Home and Garden editor, co-host of the radio show The Organic Gardeners (KDKA Radio) and appears every Thursday on KDKA-TV’s Pittsburgh Today.
