Artist Statement:
These paintings take their inspiration from the simple living of New Wilmington, PA, as they come together to depict farm life in a bold, impressionist style.
Sept 27: Pittsburgh Songwriters Showcase
As part of our Harmony in the House Series: six talented singer/songwriters will be with us for one night showcasing their skills. This is a great opportunity to hear a range of music from local performers and get an appreciation of how talented our local artists are. Performing: Howard Davidson, Sue Gartland, David Hawkins, Bruce Hoffman, Debbi Pace, Vince Rouse.

MAKE YOUR OWN SUPER HERO – Wednesday, July 31, 10-11:30am $25 Ages 7+
Make your own super hero! Captain Marvel, Spiderman, Batman, Wonder Woman… or you can be your own super hero! For boys AND girls ages 7+. We’ll make a cityscape background using upcycled newspaper and markers, then draw our own super hero and add him or her to the scene.

Days of Wine & Paper show featuring artwork by Evans City artists Jessica King and Jill Eudaly. When I saw Jessica’s incredible paper dress on display at the Evans City Library, I knew her work would make a spectacular show. We combined the idea of June brides and Harmony’s Annual Wine Walk and present, Days of Wine and Paper.
Both artists are known for their work in paper. Jessica is new to the Gallery. Jill is a regularly participating.
Show: June 2 – June 16 including the day of the Wine Walk, June 8.
About Jessica King, Evans City:
Jessica King is a self-taught artist with a love of all things vintage and the beauty that can be found in unexpectedly simple places and moments.
A lifelong artist, Jessica has experimented with many different mediums. Her endeavors include designing and creating store fronts/displays in her grandparents’ antique shop and now to her more recent project and favorite challenge: paper sculpture.
She works at the Evans City Public Library, creating artistic displays from paper and recycled materials and teaching the occasional art class.
When not making art, Jessica can be found reading a good book, playing her violin, or enjoying nature through hiking and gardening.
About Jill Eudaly, Evans City:
Jill Eudaly works in multiple mediums, creating art using common school supplies, recycled materials and objects she finds in nature. Jill firmly believes our everyday environment is filled with a million interesting things to photograph or use as art materials. All you have to do is look.
A part-time employee of the Evans City Public Library for four years, Jill has created many art displays for the children’s library. She is also a part-time environmental education teacher at Camp Lutherlyn.
Over the last ten years, Jill has decorated store windows, made sets for acting groups, participated in mail art shows around the world, taught art classes and entered local art shows. She is a participating local artist at Bottlebrush Gallery & Center for the Arts in Harmony, PA.
Jill’s publications include:

May 1 – Alcohol Ink Class for Beginners
Offering another Beginning Alcohol Inks class in response to demand. It’s really fun, don’t miss this one. We get to play with fire!
Beginning Alcohol Inks on Tile
Wednesday, May 1, 7:00pm, $30
No experience needed. Create colorful, vibrant designs on ceramic tiles using alcohol inks. You’ll get step-by-step instruction on how to apply these amazing inks to a ceramic coaster tile for practice, then make another tile showing off your new skills. Mistakes are easily fixed, no worries. These are beautiful gifts – for someone else or yourself.
You will take home two completed tiles. The tile designs can be matching, or you can create two different designs. Provided supplies include: ceramic tiles, alcohol inks, 91% alcohol, pipettes, lighters, gloves and tools. Dress for mess!
$30 per person includes everything. NEW: Payment is required in advance. You must contact the Gallery directly to register. We take cash, credit cards and checks. Space is limited, so don’t wait. Please note, no refunds if you cancel within 48 hours of class start.
IMPORTANT: If you RSVP for this class, please do your best to attend. We keep a waiting list, and it’s not fair if you RSVP then don’t show up.

Apr 13: Off the Record – Music and Beer Celebration & CD Release Party
Join us for a beer and music celebration throughout Harmony! We wanted to take our own SPIN on Record Store Day by having an all-day party at three of your favorite locations in town.
Start the day at the ShuBrew Brewery with a hazy IPA can release (label designed by Bottlebrush’s own Laura Stuart!) followed by live music from Walker and the Rebellion! ShuBrew & North Country will also be debuting our collaboration beer “Beer Mugz-N-Harmony (draft only)!” Local food truck Pita My Shawarma will be in attendance serving some great food.
Follow up the action at The Harmony Inn with a crawfish boil on the patio and live music from Alex Kates & Amanda Barton. Jim and Debbie Tobin will hold their monthly Open Stage at the Bottlebrush starting at 1pm.
Finally end the night at Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts and Last Dog Records for a live music CD release party featuring Dennis McCurdy and special guests The Carpenter Ants. Enjoy local beer at the gallery, check out the vinyl art show, and try some food from our friends Pgh Po’boy!
Vinyl record fans – Last Dog Records will be open all day from 11am-9pm with new and vintage vinyl available. Bring your dog and get 10% off record purchase to celebrate National Record Store Day.
